NSX - ARINC 600

The NSX series are multipin, rack and panel style connectors designed as a successor to the SAE AS81659/ARINC 404. It features lower insertion force contacts than ARINC 404, as well as a larger amount of contacts and a front release, floating key system. It is predominantly used for avionics designs for aircraft applications and also used for landing gear management, IFE, air conditioning systems, data acquisition boxes and engine management.

NSX is available in three shell sizes (1, 2 & 3) with environmental and non-environmental versions as well as EMI/RFI options to improve shielding effectiveness. Plating options include alodine, nickel, and RoHS, all of which are compliant with ARINC 600 standards. The plug shell is fitted with inserts for signal (size 22) pin contacts, coax, triax and quadrax socket contacts. The receptacle shell is fitted with inserts for signal socket contacts, coax, triax, and quadrax pin contacts. PC tail contacts, as well as selectively plated and pre-tinned contacts are also available.

Environmental inserts have a wire sealing grommet on the rear face and compound between insert and shell. The different kinds of inserts available are rear release, rear removable contacts (blue colored on the terminating face); front release, front removable contacts (red-colored on the mating face), and front release, rear removable contacts (yellow-colored on the mating face).
