Connectors for civil aerospace are designed for use with specific coaxial cables qualified for use in aircrafts. They have been qualified according to aerospace generic standards and/or customer specifications. The most popular interfaces used in airborne equipment are TNC, C and BNC, but other interfaces can also be found.
These connectors usually feature either specific coupling nuts with holes to install a locking wire, or a self-locking mechanism.
