The shrink boot adapters included in this section all are designed to accommodate lipped-type shrink boots such as those defined on MS3109 and MS3117. Shrink boots are used both for mechanical strain relief and a degree of environmental protection. Standard shrink boot adapters, with either rotatable coupling nuts or directly coupled designs, are available for most circular connectors. As an added option, the 310 Series adapters can be ordered with a straight shrink boot.
